Languages & Education

Born in Germany, Sven has spent much of his life living, working and studying in Canada, Germany and France. He is fluent in English, French and German.

With an undergraduate degree in International Studies from Glendon College of York University, Sven completed his Bachelor of Laws degree in French at the Faculty of Law of the Université de Moncton in New Brunswick. He has also studied German and European law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and the University of Passau. Prior to joining Dale & Lessmann LLP, Sven interned with the prominent German law firm of Hengeler Mueller in Berlin, Germany.

Memberships

Sven is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, as well as the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations. He is also actively involved in the Belgian Canadian Business Chamber, the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Danish Canadian Chamber of Commerce (Board member).

Interests

Sven has served as a soccer coach, referee and player in a variety of leagues across Canada and has traveled to more than 50 countries on 5 continents. He enjoys composing music in his spare time.
